The forth installment of the Percy Jackson books turns the plot a little darker. This one had some nice turns and twists, and left the next to last book in a suspenseful cliffhanger. The things I did enjoy was the major development of the minor characters in this book. I was ecstatic to see some changes to two of the major secondary characters. What kept this books from receiving a perfect score was Annabeth's temperament. We all know what her flaw is, but the character seemed overly weak and angry in this installment. The story was very action packed, and still allowed for everyone to grow. The end was touching. I am ready to take on the last book, but I do not look forward to saying goodbye to Percy and his world.
