The Girl Who Played with Fire - Stieg Larsson The sequel was not nearly as dazzling as Larrson's first hit, but the later chapters gave this novel the the twists and blows that I have come to expect from this Swedish series. The first part of the book seem to drag on with the unnecessary delving into the sexual desires of the central characters. This part of the book felt very gimmick-like and was more for shock value. However, when Larsson finally revealed the twist, it sent a shock to the audience. And when the author delivered the small yet Earth-shaking detains to Salander, the book became another story that keeps you up night after night, rushing through the story.Overall, the book was not bad, but it was a disappointing follow up to "Tattoo".
