The Book Thief

The Book Thief - Trudy White, Markus Zusak If I could write a thousand reviews for this book, it would not be enough to tell the world what a beautiful and brutal book has been given to us.I have read a fair amount of Holocaust literature, but nothing has touched my nerves like this book. The humanity of "The Book Thief" will make you sick and will make you happy. The character of Death as a protagonist, and as a humanitarian drove the point home that not even death can accept the horrible events in Germany during this time. The colors and the words and the story blend together to create a lovely disaster of hurt feelings and the triumphs of the human soul. This book is one a jem, and I recommend that this needs to become a classic.
